Name of canon: Avatar the Last Airbender

If not, as best you know it, US release date of the canon point:

Completely optional history and personality section. YOU ARE ALLOWED TO SKIP THIS!: Sparknotes in case anyone is unfamiliar and would like to know. Zuko was the crown prince to the fire nation, until he spoke out of turn, refused to fight his father when challenged due to said ‘disrespect’, and was subsequently exiled. (After being burned by his father rather severely on his face.) His father tasked him with capturing the avatar in order to return, but the avatar at that time hadn’t been seen for 100 years, (so it was a wild goose chase.) Through several years of obsessive focus and drive and plot reasons, he finally finds the avatar, and spends all his effort trying to capture the kid. A chase across the world ensues, but eventually, he is forced to give up and take refuge in the Earth kingdom. Zuko has a strong temper, and can be easy to anger. He is stubborn to a fault, and at this point, still has a very strong drive to capture the Avatar. He will use any means necessary to get what he needs, (or believes he needs).

Please list and explain the three worst (morally) things your character has ever done: 1. Set Kyoshi island on fire while there hunting the Avatar, risking the lives of the innocent people living there and damaging their houses. 2. The general hunting of the Avatar, the world's only hope for peace. Even if it was a stipulation from his father in order to return home, it is still something that will doom the world to war and flames if he succeeds so… 3. Stealing from Earth nation citizens while he and his uncle were on the run. Some of his targets may have been of the unsavoury variety, but they were still just citizens. His worst offence being stealing the ostrich horse from the kind family that took in him and his uncle and fed and clothed them.

Please list and explain the three best (morally) things your character has ever done.: 1. Saved the Avatar from Pohuai stronghold, even if it was for selfish reasons. He needed to capture the avatar himself to regain his honour, but he still saved the world’s hope. 2. Stopped his pursuit of the avatar to rescue his uncle when he was captured by earth nation soldiers. 3. He saved the helmsman of his ship when a storm struck while they were at sea. His relationship with his crew had been tense, but he risked his life to prevent the man from falling to his death.

Please put the six things above on a timeline relevant to each other: 1. hunting the avatar. 2. Burning Kyoshi island. 3. Saved his uncle from earth nation soldiers. 4. Saving his crew member from the storm. 5. Saved the avatar from Pohuai stronghold. 6. Stole from earth nation citizens.

Do you consider your character a hero, an anti-hero, a good aligned side kick, a bystander, a victim, a fence sitter, a mercenary, an evil aligned side kick, a villain, or something else? Why?: Zuko certainly spent a period of time being an antagonist at best, and a villain at worst. That being said, he was a victim of his father’s cruelty, and that plays a part in some of his choices. Though he has started to show a bit more of the empathy from his childhood, he is still pursuing antagonistic goals, and at this point, I would still consider him more or less a villain.

Do you think your character should start on the Isle or in Auradon? Why?: Zuko has neither redeemed himself, nor shown much remorse or reflection on his more questionable actions at this point. I’d say that puts him pretty firmly on the Isle side for now.

Which of those two would you prefer your character to start in?: On the Isle of course.

Are you still interested in having this character in this game at this time if that preference is not met?: Yup

Powers and Abilities: Firebending, fire breath. He’s also skilled with swords (specifically dual dao swords) and hand to hand combat. I would almost go as far as to say he has an overdeveloped drive, a dogged relentlessness, an inability to quit when he should, no sense for too much too far take a break. He’s proven to be rather stealthy, and he can hold his breath for an absurd amount of time.

What clothing/items did your character arrive with? (See rules and FAQ for what is allowed, feel free to ask if you are unsure): His somewhat tattered brown travelling outfit, a straw hat, his bag, and his dual dao swords (if permitted). His bag is mostly empty, it has no food and mere pennies, it does however contain his blue spirit mask, a thin bed roll, his knife inscribed with ‘never give up without a fight’, and an empty canteen.

Optional- What do you have to keep in mind when playing this character?: Boy’s an awkward mess. Angry boy. Brash.

What mod candy, if any, does your character bring? (Aka what elements would you really like to see us play with?): Give him moral dilemmas to your heart's desire.

What else do you think the mods should know about your character or their canon?: Not necessarily canon, but I wasn’t sure where else to put it. I am a firm headcanoner of half blind half deaf Zuko, and I’d prefer to play him that way. That burn is bad, it definitely affected his eye and ear on that side. (To me, in my heart.)

Any questions?: Nope!
